HIFS News provides brief reports and pictures of recent highlights in heavy-ion inertial fusion-energy science and technology. We have formed a Virtual National Laboratory, VNL, to more efficiently pursue heavy-ion fusion driver development. At present the VNL includes LBNL, LLNL and PPPL. HIFS News reports on VNL progress and related work including targets and chambers. It appears 4 times each year.
